  • New Blog

Well, I haven't blogged in almost 6 months...and I have just recently been feeling the need to write again.

But unfortunately Xanga only allows other Xanga members to comment on your blogs (most of my friends aren't on Xanga anymore), so I've decided to go elsewhere for my blogging needs.  If you're interested, you can check it out.

    So, here it is:

    just some thoughts...

"I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you.
I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed,
    for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
    --Isaiah 41:9-10

"If you flow in God's plan,
you will learn to stop trying to figure out
how everything will work together for your good.
Learn to seek God's face and not His hand all the time.
Then keep your hands open and be ready to receive from Him.
God is good; you can trust what He speaks to your heart to do."
    --Joyce Meyer

I can't do this whole life thing on my own.  I definitely don't know what's best for me.  I can plan my whole life out for myself and I'll never get it right.  Why is trusting God so hard sometimes?  It's just that simple.  Trusting God and His will...seeking His face.  I shouldn't concentrate on the things that aren't going exactly the way I want them to.  If I got everything that I wanted...when I wanted... I know that my life would be a mess right now.  How prideful it is to think that I know what's best for me...rather than God.  I want to live a life of surrender...to God..to His plans and His will for my life.

  • Christmas break = AMAZING!

I really don't know what to say...so much has happened this Christmas break.  I could go on forever about all the things that happened, the places that were visited, etc.  But I really don't have time for that.

So...here are some pictures of me and Jonathan playing in the snow in Maine.

  • Freedom is on the horizon...

Just one more exam (today) and then I will have FREEDOM!  I don't know about the rest of you...but I am definitely looking forward to a break.  I love the breaks that come in between semesters, because then you don't have to worry about school work at all.

---Oh, I did a silly thing last night.  I watched "Heroes" for the first time.  I can quickly feel myself becoming addicted to another show.  "LOST" is enough to keep me occupied...  I'm normally not one who is huge on watching tv...but when you have great shows like those two, it's hard to pass up.

    Anyways...

Have a very merry Christmas Break everyone!  I know that I will!  :)

  • The end of the semester in a nutshell...

I haven't updated in a very long time...even though I've had plenty to say.  I just haven't had the time.  Here's a rundown of some exciting things that have happened in the past few weeks.

    Thanksgiving break:
Was amazing.  Jonathan came with me and my family to West Virginia to my grandparent's house to have Thanksgiving dinner.  My grandmother is an excellent cook, so that's always exciting.  The day after Thanksgiving Jonathan and I drove to Murfreesboro to be with his family.  That Saturday night he took me to see The Lion King at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.  We had AMAZING seats...we were right there in the front and could see everything!  That Sunday we had our second Thanksgiving dinner and celebrated with his family.  I ate so much that weekend.  It was good. Here are pictures from it all:  http://leeu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2016349&l=3918c&id=66500688

    Director's Showcase:
Was also amazing.  All of the shows went so well!  I am so proud of my cast...they really did a terrific job.  It was great seeing all the hard work  you put into something come together.  There was a full house on both nights of performances, and the audience loved the show.  It couldn't have gone better.  I am pleased.  :)

    Alpha Psi Omega Formal:
Was last weekend.  It was fun!  Of course it's always fun to get all dressed up with friends...go with a fun date...eat good food...win the "Most Trips to the Buffet Award" (hehe)...then go bowling afterwards.  You want to see some pictures?  Here you go:  http://leeu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2016352&l=be720&id=66500688

In other news...Christmas break is just a few days away.  I am so very excited!  I hope that everyone has been surviving finals.  The end is almost here!  :)

  • Good news!

I got my test results back yesterday...and...everything came out normal!  The heart irregularity that was found in my first test is apparently normal for me.  The blacking out that I experienced was due to high stress and Vasal Vagal (which isn't anything serious...although it may sound like it...I've actually experienced it several times before).  And any other sickness I was feeling was due to the fact that I was sick with a virus.  But all is well now!  And I thank God for that.  YAY!

Is anyone else excited about Thanksgiving break?  I am!  Very very excited...it's a needed break...

    :)

About Me

  • I love God... my family is great... my friends are awesome! I'm a northerner attending college down in the south here at Lee. Theater is my major and occupies most of my time...and I love it! I have a weird fear of opossums. There are more things to know about me, but you'll just have to ask.
